Assalamualaikum and hi,
Recently I just came back from National Service. One of my friends I just met there complaining about having the confidence to speak out. To get noticed. He felt that he is invisible and keep showing proof that people around is ignoring him. Well, based on his perspective of course.
Have you ever encounter this problem? You feel that your ideas might not good enough, and people would eventually ignores you?
Well first of all, you gotta realize that we cannot please everyone else. There is sometimes our ideas might not making any sense, but try harder. People will realize your effort. But of course make a brilliant idea. Not a funny one. So people will respect you. If you keep trying to crack jokes, well... people will ignore you.
Ideas usually is not strong. They don't have the right structure because it came out fresh from your mind. Try to have an idea that can convince people. That way, you can make your voice heard.
You can also try to ask a friend to judge your idea. Because we cannot be the judges of our own. It's not fair. You'll always like your ideas, right? Asking a friend will gain your confidence to speak your idea to the rest of the group. Make a conversation about it, and if you're lucky, other people might get interested and join in. And in a matter of seconds you'll realize that your idea have been accepted by the whole group. But hey, if you cannot even explain your idea to your friend, what makes you think you can explain it to the whole group?
Lastly, try to be the leader of the group. A leader usually gains respect automatically. Show your great leadership, charisma, and gain trust. Make sure you do what you said, integrity. Easy is to say but hard to make it. Avoid making promises that you cannot keep. Be honest. And your group members will trust you.
But first thing first, be BRAVE!
Bye.
